Insulation installation instructions

1. Installed to the outside of the frame, simply measure the area you need to cover.
2. Mark the measurement on the Foilboard® Insulation Panel.
3. Cut the sheet using a sharp snap blade knife or similar in a horizontal position.
4. Position sheet up against the frame.
5. Fix to frame using appropriate Foilboard fasteners (timber or steel).
6. Butt join and tape sheets to create a true thermal break.
7. Timber battens fixed through the Foilboard® into frame.
8. Cladding fixed to battens.

Foilboard® Insulation Panel should be installed after frame, roof, bracing and all services complete. All penetrations must be effectively sealed to reduce any risk of damage caused by possible exposure to extreme radiant heat. All electrical wiring should be installed after installation. If installing in windy conditions it is recommended to begin on the windward side to shelter other walls. Joins can be between studs if needed. Tape up any gaps to restrict air leakage. If fixing onto timber studs, a standard hammer and tape gun is recommended. For steel frame construction please use an impact drill for best results.

It is important to make an allowance for all window reveals and doors. Instructions are a guideline only and should be interpreted with consideration for the specific building application. Safe installation practices are encouraged at all times. Please contact Foilboard Australia Pty Ltd for further information.

Handling and Storage

It is recommend that if the product is being stored for extended periods it should be kept clean and dry. Any moisture present between sheets should be dried to prevent potential oxidization and must not be stored with either foil surface in contact with any alkaline materials.
